From the giant whimsical chair and spinning wind sculptures out front, to the mural in the hallways, to the bright and spacious classrooms, to the dinosaurs on the playground, the Tyndall Center welcomes young children.
The Tyndall Center's therapeutic program provides day treatment for preschoolers who are experiencing severe emotional and behavioral problems. |
| Our program uses a highly trained staff, high adult to child ratio, and intense parent participation and involvement. Our goal is to help troubled preschoolers and their families improve the quality of their lives
|
The classroom treatment team takes advantage of all possible "teachable moments." Group building games, play therapy, and other activities help the children overcome their defiance, anxiety, inattentiveness, poor social skills, or disruptive behavior. We help them learn new ways to get along with each other, to manage their anger, to follow directions, or to adjust to new situations.

Parents are the experts on their children, and parents are their child's first and most important teacher. Because of this, parental involvement is required for a child's enrollment in the Tyndall Center. This involvement includes participating in the planning and carrying out of the child's treatment, observing and participating in the classroom, and attending parent education and family counseling.
