Huckleberry Summer Camp

A back-to-basics, have-a-good-time, slow-it-down, old-fashioned, zip-a-dee-doo-dah summertime experience.

Day camp for children ages 5 - 12 who want a fun-filled summer adventure, operating from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call for current availability. The Huckleberry Summer Camp at the Orchard draws on Sipe's Orchard Home's experience enriching young people's lives. With friends and other children from the community, campers benefit from the safe and nurturing environment Sipe's has fostered for over sixty years.

Huckleberry Summer Camp is located on hundreds of acres in rural Catawba County. This ideal site provides wide open spaces, forest trails, streams, and fishing ponds. Meeting/crafts areas and the picnic pavilion provide indoor and sheltered spaces. A perfect site, great activities, and an enthusiastic staff add up to a summer of fun. Typical days at Huckleberry Summer Camp will include morning and afternoon activities, quiet times, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. (No need to bring your own food this year.) Huckleberry Summer Camp takes place on the campus of Sipe's Orchard Home, located between Hickory and Conover on County Home Road. Camp costs $100 per week, due on or before the first day of each session. There is a one-time $25 registration fee (per child) which must accompany your registration form. We accept checks, cash, or money orders.
