2010 Fall Festival Vendor Information

If you would like to be a participating vendor at our September 4th festival, please complete the vendor application and return it to Sipe's as soon as possible.

The day will be full of family fun activities, food, music, crafts, games, and prizes. The day will end with a live, outdoor concert by Antsy McLain and the Trailer Park Troubadours.

All activities will be held on the campus of Sipe's Orchard Home located at 4431 County Home Road in Conover, North Carolina. The festival will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will end at approximately 5:00 p.m. Vendor set-up will begin at 10:00 a.m. and vendors are encouraged to stay for the duration of the festival.

This year's festival will benefit the Transitional Living Program at Sipe's for homeless 16 to 21 year olds.

Festival organizers anticipate numerous sponsors, volunteers, and hundreds in attendance. With gas prices high and the economy at an all-time low, statistics indicate families are seeking entertainment closer to home. With 364,759 people living in the Catawba Valley, a good turn-out is expected to come from those families that choose to stay closer to home over Labor Day weekend. Die-hard Antsy McClain fans will most definitely be in attendance.

Festival rules for staff, vendors, participants and attendees include:

* No silly string or marshmallow shooters to be sold or brought to the festival.
* Pets are allowed, but owners must keep their pets leashed, maintain control
of their pets, and clean up after their pet.
* No toy guns are to be brought or sold, including water pistols.
* No firearms or explosives are allowed.
* No alcohol or controlled substances are to be sold or brought to the festival.

Electricity will be available on a very limited basis. See vendor rates with electricity in the vendor application. Please make sure you include the amps you need on the application.

If you require electricity, but choose to provide this yourself with a generator, please indicate this on your application. We ask that you bring quiet generators and locate them 30 to 50 feet behind your space. Our staff and volunteers will make every effort to accommodate vendor needs, but Sipe's reserves the right to position vendors as electrical needs dictate, as space allows, and in such a way as to best benefit the safety and enjoyment of festival attendees.

In keeping with county fire ordinances, vendors cannot store fuel near generators or heat-producing appliances, nor use a household current extension cord.

Festival organizers have limited the number of food and craft vendors offering the same kinds of foods and crafts, so register early.

Please do not hesitate to contact Nan Lacy at (828) 256-5056, extension 304 or nlacy@sipesorchardhome.org to discuss any of the festival details.

We look forward to registering you for our festival and hope this becomes an annual tradition.
