The Campus

The Orchard's 470 acres include ponds, a stream, ball field, basketball courts, woods, and pasture. The Sipe's buildings include an early childhood center, program buildings, barn, picnic pavilion, the director's house, administrative offices, and maintenance shop.

Horses, cows, and llamas occupy over 200 acres of pasture; our barnyard stays busy with assorted fowl. The Gifford Garden brings a serene oasis of color to the campus.

Children at Sipe's benefit from the fresh air and sunshine they experience on a walk to the woods or the pond. They benefit from the time they spend grooming horses. They benefit from cookouts, ball games, running, shouting, and playing.
V.O. and Viola Sipe established Sipe's Orchard Home in 1943. Though there have been changes over the past half-century, the goal has not changed. The Orchard still offers a home where children can grow into their dreams.
