All information concerning clients served in Sipe's Orchard Home's treatment or residential programs shall be prudently, judiciously, and legally maintained to provide the maximum confidentiality possible. Sipe's Orchard Home will provide confidentiality and privacy in regard to treatment, records, and discussion of or about anyone we serve.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, information may be released to the responsible medical or mental health professional without individual consent. Court subpoenaed records will be released in a similar fashion after consultation with our attorney on the legalities of the subpoena. When the physical safety of a person or persons is endangered by a service recipient protected by agency confidentiality, supervisory staff will make a determination in light of mandatory reporting laws whom to contact and what information is to be disclosed. At no time shall agency staff, Board Members, volunteers, consultants, interns, or others connected with Sipe's Orchard Home disclose information to anyone outside the agency without written authorization or under special circumstances. |
